Certification

Renewability
Earthcycle packaging has had our products tested and certified renewable under the ASTM D6866 standard. Earthcycle packaging is made from an annually renewable resource, palm fiber, which is harvested from palm trees. The trees give fruit at least two times per year for up to 20 years.

FDA
Earthcycle Packaging products comply with FDA requirements for contact with food.

Compostability
Earthcycle packaging products have also successfully passed biodegradability and compostability tests as per ASTM D6400, the compostability standard for North America.

We have documentation from the laboratory that did our ASTM tests to verify that our material can be considered “home” compostable.  Until there is a North American certification for home compostability, our lab reports suffice.

Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI)
Earthcycle packaging has been awarded the BPI compostable logo, certifying that our products will biodegrade completely and safely.
