Earthcycle Palm Fiber Packaging

Our sustainable packaging is made from a renewable resource—palm fiber—a waste product, discarded when the palm fruit is harvested throughout the year for its oil.

Before Earthcycle's natural packaging alternative, palm fiber was incinerated or landfilled, creating a waste stream coupled with the negative impacts of burning and landfilling. Earthcycle Packaging, in the backyard or balcony compost, will biodegrade into a healthy contribution for the soil. It's simple, natural, and down to earth.

Fresh Produce Packs
Earthcycle has specifically developed a line of packaging for the fresh vegetable and fruit industries. Our display-ready packs are durable and sturdy and have the proven ability to protect the integrity of the fruit and vegetable during cross-country shipment and final delivery.

Earthcycle packs are designed to fit a Euro-footprint standard master container. Additionally, we design products for specialized master container sizes.

The packaging material is water resistant and comes in two colors—natural ‘fiber’ and vanilla. We can produce other colors, using vegetable dyes, to ensure the biodegradability and compostability of the product is not jeopardized.

Earthcycle trays are perfect for a wide selection of fresh vegetables and fruit, including tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, kiwi fruit and mangos - the list is endless.

Lid Options

NatureFlex™ Film
NatureFlex film is available in a heat sealable bag or wrap format. It is certified compostable to the European OK Home Compost standard as well as to ASTM D6400 and by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI). It can be micro or macro perforated for added breathability. NatureFlex is manufactured from cellulose derived from wood pulp, which is harvested from managed plantations. A certified home compostable label can be added, making the entire package completely home compostable!

Rigid PET or Plastic Lid
If a rigid lid option is required for stacking or during transport, PET lids are available upon request. They provide a clear, stackable and recyclable alternative.

Stretch Wrap
Earthcycle products are strong enough to be used with machine applied low density polyethylene stretch wrap.  While we wait for a biodegradable and compostable polyethylene shrink wrap to become technologically available, traditional stretch wrap is used.  We take steps where we can. For more specific information please contact us.

Netting
For a unique look that allows consumers to feel and smell your product, stretch netting is a great option as it is both breathable and reusable.
